Kids Café®

Kids Café is a program designed to better America's future by providing nourishment, as well as opportunities for educational and cultural growth to needy children in a safe, accessible environment.

A national program of America's Second Harvest, Kids Café programs are located in many different community places across the country: after-school tutoring and enrichment programs, churches, public housing facilities, community centers, etc. Toledo's first Kids Café program began in 2002 and is housed in the annex of the James C. Caldwell Community Center. The Kids Café program offers homework assistance, transportation, nutritional meals, and case management (as needed) at no cost to those who qualify. Current funding for the Kids Café program is provided through a grant from the United Way of Greater Toledo and ConAgra's Feeding Children Better Foundation.

RMHCThe Toledo Northwestern Ohio Food Bank recently received a $10,000 Kids Café®Capacity Building Grant from Ronald McDonald House Charities to expand the program!
