By serving a network of non-profit agencies, the Toledo Northwestern Ohio Food Bank (TNWOFB) is a cooperative effort to solicit, transport, sort, repack and distribute large amounts of food and grocery products. Soliciting food donations from national, regional and local growers, packers, manufacturers, wholesalers and retailers, TNWOFB distributes the products to Northwest Ohio agencies. The products are donated for many reasons, such as cosmetic and packaging errors, inventory overruns, test market response, and close dating. TNWOFB adheres to strict guidelines for distribution of food and grocery products to ensure food safety. The Food Bank's current programs include:

• Co-Agency Food Program (COA)
• Ohio Agricultural Clearance Program (OACP)
• Ohio Food Program (OFP)
• Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF)
• House Program
